A Minor Place is hidden away on Albion Street (Brunswick) and if you didn’t know it was there you would never ever find it. And that would be your loss.
Luckily one of my Aussie friends suggested we meet there for a catch up. The owners of A Minor Place also run Wide Open Road - need I say more?
A Minor Place is in what looks like it used to be a residential house with a store attached. When you walk in you instantly get this warm homey feeling. Decor & furniture match well. Maybe a few too many tables cramped in there..
We went on a Sunday for brunch so it was pumping. Luckily the weather gods were in a good mood and we enjoyed the autumn sun on our backs sitting outside sipping amazing Lattes.
And guess what I (a firm believer the reading materials on offer are almost as important as the coffee itself) was quite pleased with their newspaper and magazine selection (The Age, GRAM, Melbourne Review…).
Staff were friendly and even though they were super busy we didn’t have to wait too long for our coffees or food. I ordered The Mumbler – Organic free range poached eggs on toast with pesto, fetta, spinach fresh tomato & dukkah. Yum!
Definitely recommend this one.
